How MOScholars works

What you get	A scholarship set each year by the State Treasurer. We could not verify the 2026-27 per-student figure and will not guess it.
Who qualifies	Priority for students with an IEP and lower-income families; eligibility widened in 2025.
How full it is	6,418 scholarships were awarded in 2025-26 and more than 4,000 new applications arrived for 2026-27. Funding depends on the annual state budget ($50 million in FY26, $60 million in FY27).
When to apply	You apply through one of the state-approved Educational Assistance Organizations, not to the state directly.
How the money moves	An Educational Assistance Organization holds the scholarship and pays schools and approved providers.
What it covers	Tuition, tutoring, therapies, curriculum and other approved education expenses.
